Tiles-Ceramic
To clean ceramic tiles you want to start off bye sweeping loose dirt of the floor with a broom or a vacuum. If you have ceramic tiles it is important to mop regularly with clear water or a solution with soap. It is important to change the water frequently, as soon as it gets cloudy, you will have streaks. If you do use soap, you want to make sure that you rinse it with clear water, or else your tile will have dull and sticky foam. Walls and counter tops should be wiped regularly with a damp cloth and or a sponge and cleaner (all purpose cleaner). In kitchens you can use antibacterial cleaner to disinfect the countertop and prevent the spread of germs.
Tile-Vinyl
In order to preserve the shine of your tiles use the mildest cleaning method possible to make the floors clean again. You want to make sure to vacuum or sweep regularly to remove dirt before it grinds into the finish and abrade the shine. If a light damp mop and lukewarm water does not work in removing the dirt use a solution of warm water and detergent that is recommended by the manufacturer. Make sure to always read the labels directions.
Tin
To wash tin try using warm sudsy water and dry it thoroughly. Make sure that you don’t use sharp tools or harsh abrasives, because you may scrape off the thin plating and expose the rust-prone base metal. Remove rust by using superfine steel wool dipped in vegetable oil and rub it against the tin. Baking soda and water will remove food from tin without scratching.
